Cleaning wooden cutting boards
When life gives you lemons, clean your cutting board!
It’s true – lemons can be used for all sorts of household chores. Besides giving off that light, citrusy smell, lemons are toxin-free, making them an ideal substitute for chemical-laden products.
Here’s a simple two-step process to use a lemon to clean your wooden cutting board:
1. Using a lemon half with the cut side down, scrub a little coarse salt over your wooden cutting board.
2. Let it sit for a few minutes, and then rinse with water.
Voila! Fresh, clean, and ready for spring.
